What if the next AI tool you used was one you built yourself? ✨
An assistant that remembers your preferences, checks your calendar, and helps you organise your day—from a conversation on WhatsApp.
That’s what I’ve been building with Pippa, my personal AI scheduling assistant. On Saturday, 24 October, I’m opening up the project and teaching you how to start building your own.
This four-hour paid workshop brings together a guided build, live demonstrations, and the practical lessons behind Pippa: connecting an agent to real tools, giving it memory, and deciding when it should act or ask for confirmation.
What we’ll explore
OpenAI Agents SDK: instructions, tools, agent execution, and conversation sessions.
Agents API: a live demonstration and discussion of how it fits into an assistant’s architecture.
Google Calendar and Gmail: connecting an assistant to useful personal context.
WhatsApp and voice notes: making your assistant accessible through everyday conversations.
Memory and permissions: remembering preferences, connecting accounts with OAuth, and protecting credentials.
Python, FastAPI, SQLite, and Railway: the application stack behind Pippa, from local development to deployment.
Reliability: handling failures, checking tool results, and keeping you in control of consequential actions.
The goal: build a small working assistant during the workshop, understand the architecture behind Pippa, and leave with a clear path to extend your own.
We’ll focus the hands-on build on the core agent and tools, with demonstrations of the wider integrations.
Who is this for?
Developers, technical founders, and curious builders who want to move from chatting with AI to creating useful assistants. Basic Python familiarity will help. Bring your laptop and a task you’d love an assistant to handle.
📅 Saturday, 24 October 2026 🕘 9:00am–1:00pm · Singapore time 📍 [Venue released to confirmed participants] 🎟️ Paid workshop · $100 per pax
